Our Competition Program is perfect for any athlete that is looking to take his or her game to the next level. This class focuses on Jiu-Jitsu as a sport and is geared toward getting our competitors ready for local or international tournaments. It features hands on coaching that will help each student find and develop his or her personal Jiu-Jitsu style. This class will also include hard drilling, competitive sparring, and conditioning. Although the class is designed for competitors it is not exclusive. It is open to all Blue Belts and up who are interested in high intensity training. As we all know, if we want anything to work, we need structure. A great training program will be successful because it is properly planned and structured. Training for a competition requires a commitment to the direction given by trainers and coaches and also personal diligence and focus. We’ll write down your training plan before every training camp. Having your weekly training written down will take away any confusion about what your training program looks like for the week. While competition is a test of your skill against an opponent you aren’t used to and in an environment you aren’t used to there is no such thing as passing or failing in competition. The one thing that does always happen after competition is growth. With all of that analyzing you will grow. Sometimes it just isn’t the same as practice. With practice you do learn but you don’t really analyze that much because it is something that you do on a regular basis. You warm-up, you do some drills, learn some techniques, and you roll. You may think about it after, but with not much analyzing. After a competition though you won’t be able to help but to analyze what you did. This will make you so much better than you can imagine.
